Two New Cubs born at Peña Escrita! Almuñécar Life starts the week with an ‘Aaaah’ story, as the nature park Peña Escrita welcomes two new bear cubs. The family continues to grow at the Park with the arrival of the two brown bear cubs, born as a result of captive breeding, after the autumn while the mother was in hibernation. The cubs are already six months old. With these two cubs, Peña Escrita now has a total of 12 bears, of which five are females and five males. The sex of the two newborns is still unknown. Remember that one of these males was the first bear born in the park and that the people of Almuñécar baptized with the name 'Baloo', following a competition organized by the management of Peña Escrita. The head of Park, Jesus Ruiz, says that the baby bears usually emerge from their burrows in the early afternoon, so that’s the best time to visit and see the little puppies running around and playing together in their new environment By Tressa Davey May 24, 2010
