Road Closure for Emergency Procedures Drill Pursuant to the law on minimum safety in road tunnels, part of the N-340 will be closed this morning for a simulated emergency in the Cerrogordo tunnel. To ensure absolute thoroughness and precision in the safety drill, all government departments concerned - national, regional, provincial and local - have been involved in its coordination. The stretch of road shown in the map, from La Herradura to Maro, will be closed to traffic between 8:00 am and 13:00. Drivers are advised to take the alternative route, the Mediterranean motorway A-7, between Maro and La Herradura. Residents in the section will still be able to use the existing crossings to 185 and 245 meters from the mouth of the tunnel west and east respectively (PP.KK. 303 950 and 304 305), but only light vehicles will be permitted.
