New American Sister CityOn Oct. 17, Hendersonville was formally introduced to the citizens of its first Sister City, Almunecar.
Almuñecars Mayor Juan Carlos Benavides met with members of Hendersonville International, including the mayor of Hendersonville; Barbara Volk during The Almuñécar Annual International Fair on October the 17th 2009 and again with City Council member Eva Gaitan and Tourism Director Felipe Puertas on Oct. 22 and 23 to arrange a visit in March 2010.
